Yearbook Business Ads
So why would we even need yearbook ads? Well, we've got a lot of great things going on in our school this year and we want to make sure we capture all of it! That means the yearbook needs to be bigger, and so the price goes up. Ugh. I wouldn't want to pay a ton of money for a yearbook, and I'm sure you wouldn't want to either. So, by selling local business ad space, businesses are helping support this important part of being a high school student and remembering these years forever. Their contributions help keep the cost low for our students so that we can include more than just a school picture for everyone. We're not looking to make money on this, but to make the yearbook better, and make it more affordable for students, especially seniors.
What does it look like?
It can be intimidating to walk into a business asking for money, especially since we're used to spending money at these places. Go in with confidence. Let them know you're asking support, not just money. You can also invite them to check out our school's website or student council website to see what we've been up to lately. Invite them to a sporting event. We want community involvement. Watch this example. We will practice like this before going out into the real world. |

Do We Want To Create Our Own Video?

We can make a final decision on this later, but think about it. It might be nice to be able to add a QR code to a business ad request to show them what we've been up to this school year. It might make or break a sale. It may also encourage more students to purchase yearbooks. |

Ok, so this info may have taken you a few days to get through. Now that you know what needs to be done, let's get started. Get your notes out and figure out who is going to do what. Let me know what's up. Do you need to ask other students in the class to talk to businesses as well? The more people we get, the easier it will be. We need to get this moving.
